When I was a kid of about 9 or 10, I asked a playmate whether he thinks Mercury could outrun Apollo or Zeus. He said the only Mercury he knew was a local pharmacy. I was frustrated – I couldn’t talk to my friends about the stories I have read. That changed in college where just about everyone knows more than anyone else. I preferred not to talk about the books I read because I was always unsure.
This blog was born of frustration – because I don’t know if my friends and I share the same love for Literature – and insecurity – because I don’t think I know enough to have a discussion about Literature with those who I know are rabid readers.
